Malan Breton showcases his fabulous fantôme collection, it heralds back to an era of luxury and pure style. The collections use demi-couture techniques, British heritage tailoring, hand-loomed silks, wools, and cashmere. The technique is inspired by West meets East, staying true to Malan Breton’s heritage which is French, British, Italian and Taiwanese.
The collection perfectly shows how Malan has used his inspiration to influence his vision for AW17, strong use of imperial prints and rich bold silk fabrics, creating beautiful and elegant shapes for a modern day woman or man. I personally thought the collection was a beautiful hommage to an incredible era, Malan showcases his design skill by creating a fantôme of a forgotten era, the era of hope, happiness, and playfulness.
