It’s been a while since I last wrote anything on my blog, I believed it was about time. Since stepping down from the fashion industry, I wanted to put my skills to use for content work, any work that would allow me to be creative.
I recently started a new job at Julia Charles Event Management, where I work as the social media and content assistant. As I start my new journey, I begin to learn the understanding of a new industry. I actually feel better in my own self-being, I can safely say I won’t miss trying to be popular or an influencer anytime soon.
As it’s coming up to Christmas and the fact that I’ve just bought a new house with my partner, it’s all been a bit crazy. I am determined to get the focus back on writing my own books, I have a few other things I want to look into and get back into, which I think would be good for me but we’ll see how that one goes.
You may see the odd post here and there when the mood strikes me, but I’m certainly not going to put pressure on myself to deliver content every day. I refuse to become a blogger who posts about what celebrity is on the front cover of which magazine, I mean yawnville. To be honest, I have always seen myself more as a writer than a traditional blogger, as explained above may be why it doesn’t interest me.
I might even write a transformation piece about the house move, that has definitely been a challenge and I want to celebrate that in the best way I know how to celebrate. It’s been a short one, but I just wanted to share.
Until next time…
